Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SoundCron, operated by Raphael Guillot (France, micro-entreprise). By using SoundCron you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

SoundCron is an AI-powered tool that connects to your SoundCloud account, classifies the tracks in a playlist by genre and sub-genre, and creates sorted playlists on your account automatically. The service depends on the SoundCloud API and on third-party AI providers (Anthropic or Mistral). We do not guarantee uptime when those dependencies are unavailable.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use SoundCron.
  • You must hold a valid SoundCloud account. Any SoundCloud account type may be used to log in and use the service.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account or subscribing.

3. Plans and billing

Free tier

Free users may run up to 5 sort jobs per day (manual sync only). Scheduled auto-sync is not available on the free tier.

Pro tier

Pro users may run up to 500 sort jobs per day and create scheduled auto-sync tasks (cron-based). Pro is billed at €3.99/month or €29/year via Polar, our Merchant of Record. Polar issues the invoice, processes payment, and remits EU VAT on your behalf.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time via the billing portal (click "Manage plan" in the app). Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused time.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to the email on file. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. By subscribing to Pro and requesting that the service starts immediately, you expressly acknowledge that you waive this right of withdrawal once the subscription is activated, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Directive. This does not affect your right to cancel at any time going forward.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Circumvent, disable, or attempt to bypass rate limits or daily job quotas
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with SoundCron outside the intended web interface
  • Use SoundCron in a way that violates SoundCloud's Terms of Service or API Terms of Use
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary elements of the service
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law

5. Your data and content

You retain ownership of your SoundCloud playlists and tracks. By using SoundCron you grant us a limited, revocable license to access your SoundCloud data solely to perform the sorting service on your behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The SoundCron name, logo, and all associated software are the property of Raphael Guillot. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or logos without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimers

No uptime guarantee. SoundCron depends on the SoundCloud API and third-party AI providers. We make no guarantee of availability if those dependencies are unavailable.

Classification is approximate. AI genre classification is never 100% accurate. Some tracks may land in an "(Other)" playlist or be mis-classified. We are continuously improving accuracy but cannot guarantee perfect results.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Raphael Guillot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or costs of substitute services, arising from your use of or inability to use SoundCron — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using SoundCron at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe harms the service or other users. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via the email on file or a notice on the site. Your continued use of SoundCron after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
